About Us
Our Mission
Our mission is to promote and support our program’s education beyond the classroom environment and internship experience. This critical mission is accomplished by working in partnership with mental health counseling organizations and licensed mental health counselors and incorporating other mental health graduate programs in CUNYs. We aim to fulfill the needs of our community by bringing talks and discussions to campus, providing informational workshops, and engaging events. We also aim to unite the first and second-year students within the Mental Health Counseling department creating a long-lasting mentorship.
Our Team
Our executive board and committee chairs play crucial roles in the operation of the Mental Health Counseling Graduate Association. We are responsible for overseeing various aspects of the association to ensure is success and fulfillment of our mission.
Together, we work collaboratively to ensure that the association functions effectively, achieves our mission, and provides a meaningful experience for our members. We facilitate communication, organize events and activities, manage finances, and promote the club's mission and values both on and off campus. It's our combined efforts that are essential for the overall success and sustainability of the Mental Health Counseling Graduate Association.
Our Location
The Mental Health Counseling Graduate Association is a mental health organization located on the campus of Brooklyn College in Brooklyn, New York City. We are specifically affiliated with the Mental Health Counseling graduate program and the psychology department of Brooklyn College.
We play a crucial role in supporting mental health education, awareness, and advocacy within the context of the Mental Health Counseling graduate program and the broader psychology department at Brooklyn College. Our presence within this academic institution is significant, given the importance of addressing mental health concerns and promoting mental well-being among both students and the community.
